This booklet was developed by the National Institute for Urban School Improvement (NIUSI)as part of the activities of the Principal's Project, a federally funded grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs. This project supported principals in four states to engage in reflective practice and action research to inform their building level school improvement initiatives.
